Kendrick girls basketball player Simone High was named a Georgia Sports Writers Association Class AAA All-State first-team selection, and 10 other local players have been named to the second team or honorable mention.

For the first time this season, Class AAA’s West Hall boys basketball are not ranked in the latest Georgia Sports Writers Association state basketball poll. The Spartans received votes, as did Class AAA’s Creekview and Class AA’s Jefferson, but not enough to stay in the top 10.
